Excel Family and Youth Society identify Ethiopian and Eritrean newcomers who may have difficulty integrating into Canadian lifestyle.

The organization seeks to provide a positive support system to avoid pitfalls that could possibly derail newcomers. The focus is slightly different at each level, but the goal remains the same:
Empower the ethnic immigrant groups from Ethiopia and Eritrea to make positive changes to their lives.

To reach our goal, we need the support of passionate volunteers willing to donate their time in skills in the following areas:

Conduct or assist in workshops provided to families in crisis. Workshop topics include (but are not limited to): health and well being, job skill development, and starting and growing small business.

Helping teenagers and young adults become future leaders and role models within the community.

Assisting with ESL services, basic computer courses, and employment support services.
We also need talented volunteers who can assist before and during our Annual Gala Night. Event coordinators, artists, graphic designers, IT professionals, accountants, chefs, etc., are welcome to volunteer. Excel is a great organization to showcase, develop, and enhance your skills!
